The village of Gîtes is situated lightlyapart from the Valette village (C.D. 678), (5 kms from Riom-és-Montagnes, direction TRIZAC MAURIAC.
It is dominated by the Estives Plateau's, in the Gentiane country, in the park of Auvergnain Volcanos.
The immédiate environment is a paradise for hikers and the numerous Montain-bike are a delight to explore.
Valette is a small rural village with a school, a church and a cafe /restaurant. Bank, a doctor's surgery, a chemist, a clininic and food shops can be found in Riom-és-montagne. (only 5kms away)

The gîtes all face the " Sumène " river. They are peacefully situated and from the terraces there are no roads in sight. With the parking confined to the entrance you can be sure of a quiet, relaxing holiday. The gîtes are built in a semi-circle, each terrace being private. In the park you'll find a playground area and berbecue for relaxing evenings for all the family. A boardroom with 18 places is at your disposition together with a loungefurnished in the traditional Auvergnian rustic style and a chimney built from local stone. There is also a librayry, bar, video an information point available to all guests. A dining room to taste and delight in the regional specialities is a must and for your fishing tackle there is a communal storage space.
